Start spreading the news

Tomorrow we leave for three days in New York. Pre-planning and research has mainly consisted of trawling YouTube for clips from favourite New York movies, either for inspiration before departure, or so that I could re-enact the relevant scenes once I was there.
This one for getting in the mood before we leave.
This one upon arrival.
This one in Grand Central Station.
And this one, which is how I imagine I’ll feel walking back to the hotel after dinner.
Check back early next week for the report…

Oh…this really is so exciting. New York is phenomenal and I wish I could be a fly…uh, in the air…watching you experience it.
Love the new wordpress theme.
Have a great trip! Good luck with the camera purchase. It pleases me immensely that I may have sparked such a wonderful adventure.
Oooooh - NYC for the weekend! That’s so great! I’m so JEALOUS!! Have a great trip.
p.s. I adore Woody Allen, what better way to get in the mood accompanied by Gershwin’s Rhapsody Blue!! Now that’s class.
Travel safe and good luck with choosing the new baby
Hope you and Paola have a great time in NYC, Simon. I LOVE it there.
Ian just got back from Brussels today; besides the fact that he had to work, he had some really good food at Chez Lola’s and the Museum restaurant. He brought back some lovely chocolat pour moi, and some fun stuff for the kiddies from the Grasshopper store. Sounds like such a lovely city.
Karen - I must get round to trying the new Museum brasserie . The Chef, Peter Goossens, also runs Hof Van Cleve , which is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten in.
