A post over at the Guardian arts blog reminded me (as if I needed it) of the vastly underrated sketch comedy show Big Train. The brains behind it (including Graham Linehan, Arthur Matthews, Simon Pegg and Kevin Eldon) have all gone on to bigger things (including some of my other favourite shows, like Spaced), but I believe that these are some of their finest moments.
If you can watch either of these two clips without laughing, then…well, you’re just wrong.
For some reason I still don’t have the natural reflex of checking YouTube whenever I remember something I saw in a film or on TV. Maybe it’s best that I don’t, or I’d spend the whole day trawling the archives, reliving childhood (and adolescent) memories.
