Good beer, bad beer

Good beer

Pietra, one of only a few local brews I could find in Corsica. There’s a wheat beer too called Colomba, but it was Pietra I always turned to for refreshment after a hard day sunbathing.

Bad beer

A trio of Genoese beers bought at the new branch of Eataly in the port. The chestnut flavour was quite strong but ok if you like that kind of thing, the “regina” was more conventional but acceptable enough, and the basil-flavoured brew was quite disgusting. Ever wanted to be able to drink alcoholic pesto from a bottle? No, me neither.

Well I think looking for decent beer anywhere in Italy or France is a fruitless task!

Yes, no fruit in their beer. Need to come to Belgium for a kriek.

Indeed, Italian beer goes together with English wine in my book.
